Wheel Spinner

Add the choices you want, give the wheel a spin, and let it pick fairly. Great for deciding who goes first, choosing a restaurant, or running classroom activities. The wheel is animated in your browser with no uploads.

What this means

A decision wheel assigns each choice an equal slice of a circle. The wheel spins with momentum and physics-based friction, and the slice under the pointer when it stops is the winner.

How we calculate it

Formula

Each option gets 360°/n degrees. The pointer selects the slice nearest its angle after the spin stops.

Worked example

Choose who presents first from a class list.

  1. 1Enter one option per line.
  2. 2Press spin and watch the wheel.
  3. 3The pointer marks the winner.

Important assumptions

  • At least two choices are needed for a meaningful spin.

Frequently asked questions

Is the spin truly random?

The winner is chosen with a cryptographic random source; the animation is just a visual reveal of that result.

Can I remove choices after adding them?

Yes. Edit the list any time and spin again — the wheel redraws automatically.
