Are the conversion factors exact?
Yes. Converters use standard, widely accepted definitions (for example 1 inch = 2.54 cm exactly, 1 pound = 0.45359237 kg exactly) and round only the final display.
How do I convert between metric and imperial?
Pick a converter, select the unit you have as the source, then select the target unit. The result updates live and the underlying factor is displayed so you can convert any value by hand.
Why do temperature conversions not have a single factor?
Temperature scales have different zero points, so they use an offset (e.g. °F = °C × 9/5 + 32) instead of a simple multiplier. The formula is shown on the page.
